Re:HELP Moths!!! - 2007/06/19 15:33 I don't like plastic bags for storing wool either unless you have a pretty stable place to keep them where they will remain about the same temperature year around.

Too much heat, then cold, then heat will produce moisture in those bags and really mess up the wool.

If I know I'll be storing a fleece for some time, I'll put it through a one time wash to get the majority of the grease off, but still leave a bit on. Moths aren't attracted to dirty wool as much as they are clean wool.

Then I'll store them in old pillow cases that are tied up at the top.

I keep going to the page and find myself unable to decide what to swap. (Yep, I can be fickle. )

So, when was the deadline again?

Re:HELP Moths!!! - 2007/06/24 19:13 July 20 is the deadline. I did handspun and fiber swap, since I won't have to purchase anything to swap that. So I have some really nice stuff to trade with my pals. If you have a pretty nice stash, then doing bot isn't such a big deal. It costs about $7 - $15 to mail internationally on the most economical rate, but it is slower. Most of the sign ups have been sigened up for both of these swaps, so it will be really fun for those guys, having 4 secret pals sending them delightful yummies in the mail. I can't wait! If you fall off, get back on and try again.
