Well, folks it's cooling off here in the lovely state of Missouri. From 104 Fahrenheit to the low 50s in the span of a few weeks - perfectly normal for here. Hot one day, snows the next, but that brings us to the Fall Fashion show.
As seasons change, all the brightest of designers are showing off their newest creations, and setting the trends for the next few months. As we at Spindle And Wheel are clothing and knitwear designers, we thought we too should be having a Fall Fashion extravaganza.
Many of the models were testy while getting dressed. Eula, was particularly nasty, throwing multiple fits, and being a terror to everyone in typical super model style. She was so fascinated with a past Spin Off magazine, that we were soon able to get busy while she read up on the latest of spinning techniques.
The personnel department always have their hands full with no shows, what with the temporary help needed to put on an event of this caliber. The designer herself was found sacked out, tired from the heroic effort she put into making these fabulous creations.
After a brief shake and a bit of coffee our little couture designer was all set to work her magic, and magic it was, Elizabeth style. Watch out Coco Chanel, here comes Elizabeth, taking the fashion industry by storm.
The show opened with Popcorn, sporting this stylish hat knit in alpangorino and hand dyed in Kool Aid. Nothing says luxury like fruity smelling hand spun garments.
Little Jerome wasn't at all enthused about participating in the junior section of the show, and was giving his Mama quite a bit of trouble all day.
Dear, it's time to get dressed for the fashion show, you must model that lovely little coat...
Candy was just thrilled to be sporting this lovely purple headband. Nothing says "ready for the track" than a stylish purple headband.
The ensemble was completed by the breathtaking addition of wrist warmers, perfect for those crisp fall mornings. Keep your wrists warm and dry with these show stopping wrist warmers that are ideal for a trot across the pasture, or a romantic bale of hay for two.
DuClair is still not having much luck with Jerome.
"Come baaaaaack here brat!" If I have to tell you ONE MORE TIME...
By now Eula was finally dressed and ready for her big debut. This trendy feather boa and matching silver necklace are just the thing for that up coming wedding that everyone is buzzing about in the hen house. The perfect ensemble for the hot young chick and her cool cat matron of honor Twinkie.
After a Quick wardrobe change, we see Popcorn again sporting a cute chenille hat that just screams sassy little pony. The hot pink fun fur and multi color hat will keep cute little pony ears warm and toasty on those chilly fall days.
Candy is again all dressed up to model a new saddle and bridle combo, but her true spirit shines through as we see the silly side of this high fashion model shining through in this pose taken backstage.
This delightful egg cozy is just right for those soon to hatch babies. Whether your a working Mom, or just need a few minutes at the local hen spa for a quick dust bath, these egg warmers will keep those babies toasty while you take a much deserved break from the tiresome task of brooding.
DuClair is still having no luck with Jerome, these kids today, they have no respect...
I'm going to count to three, and if you don't have that coat on, you're going to time out! I'll do it! One, Twwwwooooo, two and a haaaalllllffff.....
Henrietta is all ready for the big school dance in this lace shrug that is all the rage with the young chicks. Complemented by a star beaded princess necklace, this little pullet is no wall flower.
Gloria is all dressed up, with nowhere to go in this snazzy little mobius scarf with matching leg warmers. Nothing will keep out the cold and look like a million bocks like this posh new ensemble.
Finally we wrap up the show with the lovely Clare, who graces the cover of such stylish magazines as Spindle And Wheel Issue 1, where as a little lamb she took the modeling industry by storm. She's never looked back and now we see her here once again, this time showing off this snappy head scarf that is sure to keep those tender ears warm and comfortable in all weather. The angora makes this beautiful scarf extra warm and soft, and the handspun, hand knit construction just drips luxury.
As a bonus this cute little fichu can also be worn as a stylish shawlette to keep those bare shoulders warm on those cool fall nights.
As the show comes to a fantastic finish we see the designer who came out to thank everyone for attending the first annual Spindle And Wheel Fall Fashion line up.
Elizabeth is wearing this avant guard felted donut that she made by hand in the washing machine when she forgot and left the washer on. Instead of a washed fleece, she had made this show stopping chapeau fit for the most distinguished of engagements. Not just anyone can wear this unique hat, but it is a signature of Elizabeth to always be working and wearing the most up to date, and on the edge clothing.
Little Jerome was finally put in time out, and made to stand with his head on a post as punishment for disobeying his Mama.
Editors note, many of these pictures were taken impromptu over the past year. We did model some of the garments that have been made over the year, but we wanted to assure everyone, that none of the animals were hurt, or upset in any way, although a few of them weren't crazy about the idea :) Jerome was not sent to time out, I just took that picture of him leaning on a post. We hope you enjoyed our little fun Fall Fashion Show.
