Probably that is the culprit. What happens with R#3 is that is seems to absorb, but really just hangs out on the surface, only to wash out later. It acts REALLY weird. If you want to use R#3 then start with a VERY small amount of acid, let it soak for 30 min, add a tea or maybe a tablespoon after 30 min to an hour and see what happens, if it doesn't get any more pink, then the red has been absorbed and yo...
